Explore the best places to live in the U.S. based on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities. But during the winter, the town explodes from about 3,500 year-round residents into a giant RV mecca of between 750,000 and a million people, mostly in RVs. Cons: It feels like more of an industrial park than a small town. My wife and I love it were we live in the high desert of southern AZ. When most people think of AZ they think of places like Tuscon (where it's really hot and dry) or Phoenix (where its unbearably hot and dry).

By the way, speaking of weather…Arizona does have temps in the triple digits most of the summer months, but also no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no hurricanes, not much rain (although I did watch a wild hailstorm once from inside my nice comfortable apartment-that may have damaged some window screens and hoods of cars) but then again it's just up to you about what you're willing to deal with.

Also, Arizona summers usually give much more of the nice weather than the usual three months this is certainly the case in the lower parts of the state. Pretty much all of Southern arizona Living has always been pretty good about keeping desert landscape which uses much less water.

Las Vegas isn't cheap, we had a hard time making a living there, it didn't works out, but I nearly died in Las Vegas due to bad hot tempature also I had a very high triglycerides, I nearly died, also my cholesterol were very high too, the foods in Las Vegas are rich, but very fattening, same goes for Arizona.

For comparison purposes, the average cost of home health care in Arizona is about $21 per hour. Water costs will also be high if you choose to keep a garden in your backyard desert. I am a little scared of the super hot summers but it sounds like there is lots of things to do to stay busy.
